When laying out your map, if your map has more left turns then right then you need to have Stacks (object 61) on the left side if the course, and Observation Balloons 90m (Use very sparenly, please. I would perfer you use Pylons.) on the right side of the course. If you have more right turns then left turns the reverse the above. You can use the racing pylons but only put Red Pylons (object 342) on the right side of the course and Blue Pylons (object 343) on the left side of the course. Campfires can go on either side and are used to mark the starting grid, please try to set the rows .10 behind the one in front. Course markers need to be positioned so the racer can see atleast 2 markers, that way it makes the course easier to follow for someone who has not raced it before.

We are using a standard briefs and here they are. You can change the "Course Designed By: *your name goes here*" to show your name or if you are modifing the course then add this line under "Course Designed By:" "Course Modified By: *modifiers name goes here*.

Here is the "Short Description"

QUOTE (Full Description)
Welcome to IL2 Air Racer Server!

The FULL Air Racing Rules and all Race Course Maps can be found at:

http://SimAirRacing.com

IT IS ASSUMED THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE FULL VERSION OF THE RULES.  If not, NOW is the time to do so.

  ........ The Server ........

Choose "Empty" on the Arming Screen or you will be kicked from the server.

We race up to 19 aircraft at a time.

Any extra players will watch the races from the ramp. Use the "Shift F2 key". It's a blast to watch.

  ........ Starting A Race ........

When the race is called, line up using the Taxi Ways and Runways. There can be up to five rows of campfires across the runway denoting grid positions. Line up next to a campfire at the edge of the runway or taxi way.

The Taxi Ways are single file, the main Runway is two abreast.

If the nose of your aircraft is past your grid line of campfires, you are too far forward. Take your time lining up. Remember, the race is in the air, not on the ground.

Grid start positions are rotated i.e.
Row 1 moves to the last row used on that day and the other rows move up one row.

The server starter script is initiated by the Host or Officiator once everyone is lined up satisfactorily and ready.

DO NOT rev your engines until you see the "GO GO GO". Engines MUST be at idle until that point. Spooling up engines prior to the "GO" will be regarded as a jump start and those racers disqualified from that race.

We race using NAV LIGHTS ONLY.
Wingtip smoke is now only used at the Officiator's discretion.

Racers MUST land and SURVIVE after a race to claim points in official race meetings.

  ........ Please Note ........

If a race is in progress please DO NOT SPAWN. It causes momentary game freezes. Wait until you are told it's ok by an Officiator. NO free flying is allowed and runways MUST be kept clear for pilots to land after a race.

Course Designed By: *your name goes here*

Course Modified By: *modifiers name goes here*

Follow the rules - Have FUN.
